We began the process in December of 1995, and in February of 1997 was finally approved by the Phillipine government. The next step in the process was the "match". That is where we were matched with a little boy. This happened on the first week in June. It was then in the hands of our immigration department. We flew to the Philippines on August 6. After 6 days, we flew home with our new baby boy that we named Jonathan. Our daughter was very happy, and he was also very happy. We then began the official adoption process through the court system here in Arizona. That was completed in December of 1998. Jonathan became a US citizen in December of 1999.
